Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Darryl A. Field

Dr. Field received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry in 1994. He continued his education at LSU School of Dentistry by completing a 3 year residency in Periodontics. He received his certificate in Periodontics in 1997. During this time, he also served as part-time Clinical Instructor in the Department of Periodontics.

Dr. Field moved to Jacksonville in 1997 where he has maintained a practice of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Field is a member of all relevant professional organizations including the Jacksonville Dental Society in which he was president in 2005-2006. He is also a Delegate for the Florida Dental Association and is an active member in the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Field has taught oral pathology for the FCCJ Dental Programs and also serves on the Curriculum Review Committee for this program.

On a More Personal Note:

Dr. Field is married to Carla and they have 2 children: Madeline and Tripp. In his free time, Dr. Field is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys fishing, boating, skiing and jogging.

Ponte Vedran of the Week:

Dr. Field was recognized as Ponte Vedran of the Week on August 14, 2015. Dr. Field is proud and honored to have been recognized by the community!

Dr. Raziel “Raz” Velgis

Dr. Raz grew up in El Paso, Texas. He received a scholarship for D1 football to Arkansas State University where he received his BS in Biology and BA in Chemistry. His training then took him to Indiana University School of Dentistry where he stayed to complete his residency in Periodontics.

On a More Personal Note:

Dr. Raz and his wife, Katey, are excited to move to the south, close to the beaches and sunshine. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, playing golf and pickleball. He also loves watching football, basketball and spending time with his wife and dog, Sophie.
